New degree in Physics with data science
TUD have developed a new Level 8 BSc degree course in
Physics with Data Science (CAO code TU 880) which will run from September 2020.
The course is designed to address the acute need for graduates in Ireland's
Data Science industry which currently employs >60,000 people and is growing
apace. A significant proportion of practitioners in the industry come from
Physics backgrounds as well as Mathematics, Computing and Engineering.
We are hosting a webinar to publicise the course, give
some details on its content, and provide some experiences from practising
Physicists in Data Science, including senior representatives from the Irish
banking and transport industries, all of whom are graduates of TU Dublin. The
webinar will take place on:
Wednesday 15th January at 7pm.
Please see below an EventBrite link which you can use to
register for the webinar.
